In May 2018, Ballara custodian Steph Ball opened Baker Bros. Gallery at 48 Main Street, Warooka. Located in the building known as The Top Shop, which was built by Steph's grandfather, William Baker, in 1900, this charming store showcases more than half a dozen local artists' work. Ceramics and glassware, driftwood sculptures, photography, oil and acrylic paintings, handmade furniture and lamps, and handmade homewares are all on display and for sale here.

The Top Shop, one of Warooka's oldest limestone buildings, was built by brothers William and Alfred Baker, two early pastoral land-owners of the Warooka township, in the early 1900's. The shop was a general store, servicing the landowners of the 'bottom end' through sales of eggs, sugar, bran, pollard, etc. Over the past century, The Top Shop has been home to various businesses, and now William Baker's grand-daughter, Steph Ball, rents the historical building, honouring her family history. The business within The Top Shop is Baker Bros. Gallery, in tribute to William and Alfred, whose original farming and general store business was registered under the name Baker Bros.
